PAR Light Bulbs

PAR light bulbs are an efficient option for lighting floodlights and spotlights. These lights use a u-shaped reflector to collect and reflect light out of a multi-faceted reflector to spread the light as far as possible. The PAR designation indicates how many eighths of an inch wide the face of the lamp is. So, PAR20 halogen PAR light bulbs are 20/8 of an inch, or 2.5 inches, in diameter. At Lightbulb Wholesaler, we offer an extensive list of PAR lamps to meet a wide range of needs.

Have you had trouble finding replacement lamps for your flood and spotlights? You may not be able to find the exact same lamps due to the changes implemented by the Energy Independence Security Act. EISA, which was passed in 2007, made changes to the light bulb manufacturing industry in an attempt to make the United States more efficient and energy secure. For consumers, these changes went into effect on January 1, 2014.

The act will eventually eliminate many inefficient general-purpose light bulbs in an attempt to encourage consumers to purchase the more energy efficient options. This includes many PAR lamps used in spotlights and floodlights, particularly 50W, 75W and 125W bulbs. While you can continue to use these lights, you will no longer find manufacturers who are selling them.

If you are looking to replace your old spotlights and flood lights with a more efficient option, Lightbulb Wholesaler has the lamps to meet your needs. With halogen spotlights and halogen narrow floodlights, these PAR light bulbs will offer the same amount of illumination with a much smaller energy footprint. We stock brands you trust, like Satco and Sylvania, so you can shop with confidence, knowing that your new PAR bulbs will offer the same level of service as the bulbs they are replacing.

If you are replacing a 50W PAR20 or PAR30 light bulb, choose from narrow or wide flood lamps in 120V or 130V designs. These bulbs use just 39W, yet provide the same amount of light. For 75W replacement, opt for the 60W, 120V options. Lightbulb Wholesaler also offers replacement bulbs for 120W flood lamps with the 80W PAR38 120V options.

These EISA-compliant bulbs will provide the same amount of light as their less efficient predecessors. Not only will you get great lighting, but you will also be able to lower your energy usage by switching to these bulbs. With Lightbulb Wholesaler's excellent prices, you can purchase the halogen PAR light bulbs you need at an affordable price.
