Important Changes to Spot Lamps!

Many PAR Spot and Flood lamps have been discontinued or replaced as the result of new Department Of Energy Regulations.  At Lightbulbwholesaler, we've tried to simplify finding your appropriate replacements.  When you enter the part number of your old lamp, our site will display that bulb (if still availiable), plus the recommmended any DOE replacements. Generally, the new choices have reduced wattage and produce roughly the same amount of light.

Spot lights produce a smaller beam than flood lights – about a 2 foot radius. Spot lights are best for highlighting a particular area or feature and are well suited for landscaping. Like floodlights, spot light bulbs are available in different types. PAR (Parabolic Aluminized Reflector) Halogen is the bulb most often used in spot lights but PAR can use an incandescent filament or HID arc tube. PAR spot bulbs are followed by a number, such as PAR20, PAR38, and PAR56. The number, divided by 8, is the diameter of the lamp; for example, PAR64 is 8 inches in diameter. Wattage types range from 45 to 250. The usual base is E26 with a medium skirt. Spot bulbs usually emit a clear bright light. Browse wholesale spot lights and bulbs below.
